We have designed and manufactured a machine for washing barrels with lids for one of our prominent customers. The unit consists of two positions and a folding mechanism for easier manual handling of the barrel. It also includes pressurized blowing and drying and a stacking trolley for an easy transfer.
The two rotating holders allow the user to either load the unit with two barrels or to utilise one of the holders to clean three lids and three locking clips by using a bespoke jig.
A unique user-friendly trolley is specially designed so the staff can easily load the barrel onto the rotating holder when it is folded. The trolley is automatically locked against movement and the staff member can push the barrel from the trolley onto the holder and lift it into an upright position with a minimum amount of straining.
If a barrel lid washing jig is installed, the operator can lock the barrel lids in place by tilting the jig and then adding the locking clips.
During the cleaning process, the barrel and lids are washed both inside and outside. After washing, the surfaces are blown with compressed air and followed by hot air drying.
